When Uncle Sam starts waving the bloody dead children around, you know they’re scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to lame excuses for war. It’s a wheeze that goes back to World War I and earlier. It’s as if they aren’t even trying anymore.

After that remix of some old Yipster Times cartoons went so well, I thought it might be fun to find some more BFYP candidates among my old cartoons from around the turn of the century. This one has always remained a personal favorite, and is also special because it promoted the first event I ever worked on with long-time comrade and BBF Adam Eidinger of DCMJ and Prop 71 fame — the “Not A Victory Parade” protesting the US/NATO bombing campaign in Yugoslavia in the spring of 1999.

If you managed to tear yourself away from the US media’s 24/7 election shitshow for ten or fifteen minutes in the past month, you may have noticed that one of the biggest stories of the past month or two has been the reports of the Erdogan regime buying smuggled black-market oil from ISIS.

That’s Turkey, ostensibly our ally, buying oil from ISIS, ostensibly our enemy. Just so we’re straight on that.

And by the way, you know the current oil price slump is really hitting hard when even ISIS has to start offering free giveaway goodies with every fill-up.
