Hooray for Gazawood!

By mike flugennockWednesday - January 15th, 2025Categories: environment, Health Care, media, Palestine

I was peeping the news from L.A. along with Kathleen Wallace’s recent Substack column about Boss Media hand-wringing over the fate of film and TV stars whose homes were lost in the fires which got my brain sizzling, but the final inspiration was overhearing some smarmy, plaintive woman’s voice on MSNBC talking about people whose homes and neighborhoods lay in smoking ashes, burning schools and playgrounds, people who’d lost everything and had to evacuate with nothing but what they could shove into a bag, living in their cars, living in tents — and it sounded for all the world as if she were describing Gaza, except she was talking about goddamned L.A. …and I thought of News Nation, CNN, the L.A. Times and Associated Press clutching their pearls and moaning OH, WON’T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE STARS…?

Y’mean, the Hollywood stars who pimp and symp for Israel and Zionism, who gladly, gleefully support the incineration and destruction of neighborhoods like theirs on the other side of the Earth by the Chosen People™? Y’mean, those stars?

Can You Hear Us NOW? (Happy New Year ’25)

“…the US has the #1 most expensive healthcare system in the world, yet we rank roughly #42 in life expectancy. United is the [indecipherable] largest company in the US by market cap, behind only Apple, Google, Walmart. It has grown and grown, but as our life expectancy? No the reality is, these [indecipherable] have simply gotten too powerful, and they continue to abuse our country for immense profit because the American public has allwed them to get away with it…”

—Luigi Mangione, Statement of 12.04.2024 as posted by Ken Klippenstein

For some time now, even the clods on MSNBC and in the Democratic Party have acknowledged that yes, there is a class war going on. I’d just been wondering how long it was going to be before the working class got off its ass and started shooting back.

Cripes, man… how many years now — since at least the first Trump Regime — has the U.S. Left been pummeling us silly with academic jargon like “praxis” and hardly ever at all actually showing us “praxis” in action (as it were)?

Now, you vegan-potlucking clowns want to talk praxis? Luigi served us up some praxis, sizzlin’ hot and spicy.

Happy New Year, MUTHAFUCKAAAHHHHS.

God Bless Us, Every One

By mike flugennockSunday - December 8th, 2024Categories: Health Care

When I first caught the news about the Brian Thompson shooting, I didn’t hear it all — just “United Healthcare CEO” and “shot in NYC”, and that was about it. I assumed it was your standard-issue random street crime until I started getting the details — especially the word “targeted” yelled over and over — and thought “whoa, man, shit’s gettin’ real…!”

Predictably, the Wall Street Journal treated it like the JFK assassination; splashed that CCTV shot over the front page like an Abraham Zapruder frame. The New York Times was surprisingly factual as the shooter really did go to the trouble of stalking Mr. Big Shot and it was, in fact, a pretty goddamn bold assasination.

Gotta love the Washington Post, though; they say the police are looking for a motive — a motive, f’crissake. Hell, gang, if you want a goddamn’ motive, you might want to ask around the huge-ass numbers of people who had to go to an ER and were dinged for a $10,000 ambulance ride.

Hair Of The Dog

Yeah, yeah, I know… but the only way to properly express the mood of this piece was to set it in a dark, grim mid-20th dive, with a permanently-circulating ceiling haze and ashtrays you could cave someone’s head in with.

Dude should know by now that that old wives’ cure never works. He’s heading for a king-size Trumpover.
It’s a quarter to three.
