The Latest Russiagate “Smoking Gun”

By mike flugennockWednesday - November 15th, 2017Categories: 2016 Election, Russiagate, elections, media

And so, yet another wannabe neo-McCarthyite “journalist” is busted faking it at a major US media outlet. I can’t pretend I’m not enjoying this.

This was inspired by an article that appeared this week in Sputnik News which totally shreds the hell out of a sloppy-ass hit piece by Julia Ioffe in The Atlantic about a meeting between Julian Assange and Donald Trump Jr. which was trumpeted as some kind of “smoking gun” that would validate the last year and a half’s worth of neo-McCarthyite conspiracist freakery.

Drip, drip, drip — muthafuckaaahhhs.

“Peak Liberal” Featured on the Jimmy Dore Show

By mike flugennockTuesday - August 15th, 2017Categories: 2016 Election, Party Animals, Russiagate, elections, media

As usual, it seems I’m always the last to find out about stuff like this. Still, better late than never…

Back in May, the always razor-sharp Jimmy Dore Show featured my “Peak Liberal” cartoon in an episode discussing Liberals’ insane obsession with their Russia conspiracy wankery in the context of the then-upcoming “March For Truth” held in Washington, DC this past June.

As Jimmy points out, the look, attitude and overall idiocy of Liberals’ public events openly displaying their cracked-up freakery is a classic case of “life imitating art”.

The Democrats’ “Donut” Meme, Annotated

By mike flugennockSaturday - August 12th, 2017Categories: 2016 Election, Party Animals, Russiagate, elections, media

This cartoon was inspired by the latest in a series of lame, insipid Democratic Party memes in the tradition of “covfefe” and the immortal “Love Trumps Hate”.

This week, The Nation magazine published a bombshell article that basically blew the Democrats’ Russian Hacker conspiracy wankery clean out of the water. According to a team of IT experts and digital forensics specialists, there was no Russian hack at all, but a good old-fashioned home-grown leak, an inside job by somebody with a thumb drive or other portable media who simply copied the data in question and just walked out with it.

And if that wasn’t worthy of a “woo hoo” from those of us who aren’t cracked out of our minds, this curt, elegant editors’ note from The Nation made it even more delightful. I felt a disturbance in The Farce — as if a million Liberals cried out, and then were silent.

J20 Defendants’ Solidarity Posters

Crimethinc writes in their Call For An International Week Of Solidarity, July 20-17, 2017:

We are calling for a Week of Solidarity with the J20 defendants from July 20 to 27, 2017. July 20 marks six months from the initial actions and arrests during Donald Trump’s inauguration, and on July 27, a motion to dismiss the charges will be argued in court. The case has finally begun to receive the media attention it warrants; with this court date approaching and the cases underway, this is a crucial time for a second Week of Solidarity.

On January 20, 2017, thousands of people came to Washington, DC to protest the presidential inauguration of Donald Trump. In the early morning, blockades shut down security checkpoints and discouraged people from attending the inauguration itself, while impromptu marches and direct actions occurred throughout the day. There was a spirit of defiance in the air.

Midmorning, an “anticapitalist and antifascist” march of several hundred people made clear its opposition not just to Trump but also the system that made Trump possible… After about half an hour, the march was brutally attacked by police, who used chemical and crowd control weapons along with physical force, then boxed in (“kettled”) and mass-arrested people. Everyone on an entire city block was arrested and given the same charge of felony rioting. Approximately 214 arrestees now face a total of eight felony charges, including conspiracy and destruction of property. All of the J20 defendants are now facing up to 75 years in prison.
