{"id":806,"date":"2011-03-28T16:59:04","date_gmt":"2011-03-28T20:59:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sinkers.org\/stage\/?p=806"},"modified":"2011-03-29T02:23:01","modified_gmt":"2011-03-29T06:23:01","slug":"greetings-from-afghanistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sinkers.org\/stage\/?p=806","title":{"rendered":"Greetings From Afghanistan!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sinkers.org\/posters\/greetingsafghanistan\/greetingsafghanistan.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sinkers.org\/posters\/greetingsafghanistan\/greetingsafghanistan550w.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For those of you who could tear yourselves away from the tragedy in Japan and the US media\u2019s gushing over Obama\u2019s \u201chumanitarian intervention\u201d in Libya, there was some horrifying news from Afghanistan which underscores Obama\u2019s hypocrisy in the area of human rights and violence: the publication in German publication <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spiegel.de\/fotostrecke\/fotostrecke-65976.html\" target=\"_blank\">Der Spiegel<\/a> of a batch of photographs taken by US soldiers with their \u201ctrophies\u201d \u2014 the corpses of Afghan civilians murdered by \u201ckill teams\u201d who created artificial \u201ccombat situations\u201d in order to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.loonwatch.com\/2011\/03\/kill-teams-in-afghanistan-targeting-civilians\/\" target=\"_blank\">hunt human beings for sport.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.spiegel.de\/images\/image-194584-galleryV9-ghyz.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sinkers.org\/posters\/greetingsafghanistan\/afghankillteam02-400w.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"5\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">What especially galled the hell out of me was that President Hope apparently couldn\u2019t be bothered to fly home from his holiday in Brazil to deal with these atrocities.
